When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
Exodus 17:12 (NIV)
Everyone needs some help now and again; even foster carers. Although we specialise in offering permanent homes to children in the care of Local Authorities, we also value and recruit respite carers who are able to step in when long-term carers need a break.
All our foster carers get paid, but the amount varies according to what’s involved. And in recognition of the demands of the work, regular social work visits are made, access to 24-hour help is available and monthly training and support days are arranged. If you're interested in helping foster carers by providing respite care, contact us. |
