Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,....
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25 : 34 -40
welcome to Foundations Matter |
Foundations Matter is a Christian Independent Fostering and Post Adoption Support Agency.. Based in Scotland, we specialise in offering homes to children in the care of Local Authorities. We currently have social workers in Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Lewis. We are recruiting foster carers who are in or near those areas. We are being developed by Cornerstone which is an Independent Fostering and Post Adoption Support Agency based in the North of England.
Cornerstone has for the last 20 years they have specialised in offering ‘permanent‘ homes to children in the care of Local Authorities. They are the only Christian Fostering Agency in the UK. Spurred on by our shared faith, we are an agency that is committed to creating forever families for children, especially those that are hard to place. Cornerstone has facilitated the transition to adoption for around 80 per cent of the children it has placed, even though this cuts off the funding which it receives for the foster placement. There have been no adoption breakdowns during the history of the organisation. This is a testament to the passion, commitment and excellence our staff and carers have. Read more about Cornerstone on their website here. |

WHY CHOOSE foundations matter?Drawing on the experience and capabilities of Cornerstone, Foundations Matter seeks to specialise in providing secure and caring families for a child or sibling group, throughout and beyond their time in care, ensuring that they are loved and valued as their own. 80% of the children placed by Cornerstone have now been adopted by their foster carers, who support our families throughout the adoption process and beyond.
We also offer a variety of placement opportunities including Emergency, Short-term, Long-term, Permanent, Short break or 'shared care', Support care and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Minors. You can read more about the services we offer here. |
